Copyediting
A Copyedit takes the focus to the sentence level, concentrating on the building blocks of language. Copyediting acts to rectify errors in:
- Spelling
- Punctuation
- Capitalisation
- Syntax
- Grammar
- Word usage
This type of edit also:
- Enhances readability and meaning
- Fixes sentence structure
- Improves comprehension and accuracy
My services include two editing passes: I will edit using track changes, then return the manuscript to you, the author, for approval. You can either accept or reject changes and answer any of my editor’s queries, and then return the manuscript to me, to incorporate those changes or corrections into the manuscript and clean the copy of editorial markings.
Copyediting Rates:
AUD | $17 per 1000w
GBP | £9 per 1000w*
USD | $12 per 1000w*
Payments
International payments are invoiced via PayPal. Payments can be made to the PayPal account via internal PayPal transactions, or an invoice sent externally which allows you to pay by credit/debit card.
Services are billed up-front, after the Standard Agreement for Editorial Services (SAES) has been viewed and accepted by both the editor (me) and the client (you). This contract provides peace of mind, and acts as the editorial brief.
*Invoices are billed in AUD. As a result, there may be some fluctuation in the prices listed here for GBP and USD. I edit for clients worldwide, and international rates listed on the page are only a guide.
